The Challenge —
Mayer Construction is a high end London building company, trading successfully since 2012. The business has been working for high net worth clients but now wants to reach an ultra high net worth audience. This demands a brand that can compete at the highest levels, positioning Mayer as one of the construction companies in the capital.
Although Mayer has wide experience refurbishing historic buildings, the brief was not to position it as a heritage specialist. Neither was the aesthetic to be distinctly modern. The challenge was to achieve some elegant balance of the two. But what the brand unquestionably did have to do was to stand out by looking exceptionally smart and skilful.
We offered the senior team three routes. One a clean, elevated approach. The second a cooler, intelligent look. The third projected contemporary sophistication. After some agonising, they chose the first - an elevated brand with a clean, classic look, one that projects confidence through simplicity. The brand voice conveys the sense that Mayer are 21st century masters of their craft - an organisation that does difficult things supremely well.
We then applied the brand to a range of assets - website, brochure, merch, documents, vans and more.
Our Solution —
Days after the new brand appeared on a building wrap the company received a new enquiry. An architect had seen the logo and strapline and wanted to know more.
Mayer is now perceived differently than before. It is positioned as one of London's leading super-prime residential specialists. Its brand has an edge that stands out even against London's most distinguished construction companies.
